After a year-long pilot program at the Vancouver campus the Digital Signage team recommended that UBC use the CoolSign software product to manage campus digital signage. The decision was made based on CoolSign to deliver on the following requirements:
- Allow for the scheduling of content items on both individual screens as well as multiple sets of screens
- Allow for content to be shared between signage owners
- Allow for emergency/broadcast messages to be distributed across campus efficiently
- Allow for multi-user configurations with sufficient access restrictions
The CoolSign product is owned by Montreal based Haivision.
